JOB SUMMARY

The desired candidate will see a caseload including but not limited to general orthopedics, post-surgical, the active population, sports-related injuries, and/or work-related injuries. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Responsible for managing an assigned caseload of patients and coordinating care with physical therapy assistants, multiple disciplines, physicians, and community resources to achieve the highest level of physical independence.
  • Conducts physical therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following illness or injury.
  • Consults with orthopedic surgeons and other medical professionals through documentation and verbally.
  • Interacts in a team environment consisting of PTs, PTAs, ATs, OTs, & COTAs.
  • Responsible for timely documentation, including but not limited to daily notes, workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, etc.
  • Practices in compliance with professional knowledge and standards of clinical practice and in accordance with policies and procedures of the agency, laws, and regulations of Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Master's Degree, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from a CAPTEaccredited academic program.
  • Must have an active Georgia Physical Therapy License.
  • BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
  • Prior management experience in an outpatient physical therapy practice setting is preferred.
